Karen Avery has served as the Associate Director of IndependenceFirst, a Center for Independent Living located in Milwaukee, WI, since 1998. Karen has participated in many state and local committees regarding long term care reform and expansion, including serving as Chair of the Committee on State & Local Stakeholder Participation of the Wisconsin Council on Long Term Care Reform, and as a member of the Milwaukee County Long Term Care Council and the Milwaukee County Stakeholder Council.
